Pros: Was seen quickly and on time
Cons: Was told $100 initial fee via phone call prior to appt but got there and was told it was $200
Pressed to sign an Arbitration Agreement prior to being seen. Red flag. In hindsight, I should have been a little more adamant and not signed that out of principle.
On to the examination – bedside demeanor not my cup of tea. Asked a question and got an answer. However, due to being told I needed surgery, I was processing a lot. I asked the question again and was told in an off-putting tone “I just explained that to you” instead of just repeating his answer.
Also, I felt I should have been examined while the doctor wore a pair of gloves or with sanitized hands. My recollection of we went right from a handshake and chatting to being examined. Maybe I’m overthinking it but still.
Trying to be fair in this review and I’m sure there will be a response just based on the other reviews here. Judge those responses for yourself.
I can also see how some patients would view the staff as unprofessional. The staff was very nice but there is a vibe there that I really do not come across in most medical environments.
Live and learn – I don’t mind the $200 cost to be sure I should look elsewhere (especially for a surgery).

Adding additional notes in response to the Dr’s reply:
Please, see original review above…I never indicated that I felt I was being pushed for surgery. That was your advice which is fine.
Also, I did not mind paying as I knew this was out of network. I only mentioned the mistake of $100 versus $200. Since the policy has been around for 10 years as you say, I assumed the staff would communicate that correctly out of the gate.
Thank you for giving me your opinions multiple times. Again, when seeking medical advice, it is important it is clearly understood – which is why I asked twice. The issue was not your advice, it was the indication, via your tone, that asking twice was an annoyance.
I appreciate the well wishes in my future endeavors and likewise.
